Ruby Jewel Hall (White)

Ruby Jewel White Hall, age 82, of Pikeville, KY., passed from this life, Monday, January 4, 2021, in Richmond, KY. Ruby was born July 21, 1938 to the late Charlie Franklin and Maggie “Holbrook” White in Kona, KY.

Besides both parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Isaac “Ike” M. Hall; one son, Charlie Franklin Hall; sisters, Nanye Virginia Lamont and Wanda White; brothers, Nolan White and Ralph White.

Ruby is survived by two daughters, DeNiece Marie Hall Stivers and her husband, Justin D. and DeAnna Hall Thomas and her husband, Jeffrey B.; grandchildren, Preston Isaac Stivers, J. Parker Stivers, Presley Jewel Stivers, Charla Hall Preston and her husband, Brandon, Taylor Marie Thomas, Amber Elizabeth Thomas; great grandchildren, Ashlyn Blake Preston, Allie Elise Preston; brother, Roland White and his wife, Lana; daughter in law, Tammy Young Hall; brother-in-law, Charlie Lamont; sister-in-law, Hope White; a loving host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Ruby was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Ruby was a member of Blessed Hope Freewill Baptist Church for fourteen years. She lived life mentoring and shaping the minds through teaching. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will accept friends at Thacker Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. There will be visitation Thursday, January 7, 2021, also at Thacker Memorial Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, KY. Morgan Chapman will officiate services for Ruby. Arrangements are under the direction of Thacker Memorial Inc. in Pikeville, KY.
