Loretta, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. It was surely a shock. Herbert will surely be missed by me and all of us at Pike County Library. It was always a pleasure to see you both. Like me, there will always be a void in your heart. He loved you dearly. The two of you have happy memories together so just hold on to those memories. My prayers are with you now and I ask God to be a comfort to you during this time.

Herbie was so much fun to be around and was always smiling and laughing. His love for life was contagious and he had a way of lighting up anything he was part of. I will truly miss this wonderful man who had a heart of gold. If only the world had more people like him!
Rest in peace my friend!

Herbie was a fine man. I worked with him at Whayne for many years and he was our neighbor. He stopped by and talked with us a lot and a lot of times when he rode by our house going to the store, he looked over and threw up his hand. He loved to pick pecans from our tree. He will be missed.
