Shelby Jean Coleman went home to be with the Lord, January 19, 2020 in Lexington, KY. Shelby was born to the late Naomi and David Coleman in Upper Pompey in Pike County, KY., September 23, 1938.

Besides both parents, Shelby is preceded in death by sisters, Juanita Thacker Lowe, Christine Kendrick, and Jacqueline Amick; brothers, David Coleman Jr, Ivan Gene “Tunney” Coleman, Alfred Coleman, and Curt H. Coleman.
Shelby is survived by one son, Mark Coleman and his wife, Maria; two granddaugthers, Autumn Maynard and her husband, Hadley, Alyson Hedgecock and her husband, Aaron; two great grandsons, Hayden and Hudson Maynard; a large host of family, friends and loved ones.
Shelby was an avid member of Grace Baptist Church in Shelbiana, KY. She owned her own business where she was a hairdresser for many years. Shelby was a loved mother, cherished grandmother, and a treasure great grandmother. She will be so missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at 6:00PM - 10:00PM. Funeral services for Shelby will be Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at 1:00PM with Pastor Josh Howell, of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, KY.
