Maggie Runyon Nichols, age 89, of Pikeville, KY., passed from this life Sunday, June 2, 2019. Maggie was born March 15, 1930 in Pikeville, KY., to the late Calvary and Myrtle “Sammons” Runyon.

Besides both parents, Maggie is preceded in death by one sister, Avonelle Slone; sister in law, Anna Runyon; two brothers, Bud Runyon and James Floyd Runyon.
Maggie is survived by her loving husband, Noah Nichols; four sons, Kenneth Slone and his wife, Janice, Bill Slone and his wife, Karen, Lloyd Nichols and his wife, Sheila, and James Nichols; Grandchildren, Bradley Slone and his wife, Catrena, Kenetha Slone Rose, Stacie Elliot and her husband, Todd, Daniel Slone, Noah Thornbury, Adam Thronbury, Tyler Holbrooks, Devan Nichols, Camelia Nichols, Emma Nichols; great grandchildren, Caleb Slone, Joshua Slone, Elijah Rose, Dawson Rose, Andrew Elliott, Kyle Elliott, Maggie Elliott and Sam Elliott; one sister, Patty Justice; four brothers, Willie Runyon, Cal Runyon and his wife, Sandy, Gene Runyon and his wife, Dorothy, Tommy Runyon and his wife, Glenda; sister in law, Camella Runyon.
Maggie was a loving wife, a devoted momma, and a cherished grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, beginning October 22, 1978. Although, our hearts are aching now, Heaven is rejoicing.
The family will accept friends at Thacker Memorial Funeral Home, Monday, June 3, 2019 at 6:00 PM and all day, Tuesday, June 4, 2019, with services both nights beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM with burial following at the Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, KY. Primitive Baptist ministers will be officiating all services for Maggie. Serving as pallbearers will be Noah Thornbury, Adam Thornbury, Tyler Holbrooks, Devan Nichols, Caleb Slone, Joshua Slone, Elijah Rose, Andrew Elliott, Kyle Elliott, Dawson Rose, and Sam Elliott; Honorary Pallbearers will be Willie Runyon, Cal Runyon, Gene Runyon, Tommy Runyon, and Dr. Samuel King.
