Obituary for Wilma Caudill
Wilma Faye “Boggs” Caudill, age 76, of Raccoon, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at her daughter’s residence at Eolia, KY. Wilma was born to the late Aubrey and Mattie Boggs in Letcher County, KY, March 11, 1941.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Caudill; two great granddaughters, Makayla Meadows and Melody Caudill; four siblings, Hersel Clay, Aubrey Clifton, Harold Ray, Edna May; and one son-in-law, Greg Addington.
Wilma is survived by her loving children, one son, Billy Caudill, his wife Patty of Michigan; two daughters, Carol Addington of Eolia, KY, Donna Slone, her husband Danny of Raccoon, KY; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five siblings, Paul Boggs and his wife Louise, Betty Sturgill and her husband Volly, Hazel Wright and her husband Kenny, Leeroy Boggs and his girlfriend, Marie, and Owen Boggs.
Wilma was a devoted mother of three, housewife, coalminer, and all around and amazing lady. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. At a very early age she went to work in the coalmines, little did she know she would pave the way for future female coalminers.
The family will accept friends at the Thacker Memorial Chapel Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 6PM & Wednesday, October 4, 2017 with services each night at 7PM with Old Regular Bapt. Ministers officiating all services.
Funeral services will be October 5, 2017 at 1!:00 AM at TMFH Chapel. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Pikeville, KY.
